THEY HAVE BEEN LYING TO YOU ABOUT HOW EASILY EBOLA SPREADS

How did a health worker in Dallas wearing full protective gear catch Ebola if the virus “does not spread easily”?  Just last week, Barack Obama declared to the public that you cannot get Ebola “sitting next to someone on a bus”, and yet a nurse in protective gear that was taking extreme precautions to avoid being exposed to the disease has just caught it.

A health worker who cared for Ebola “patient zero” Thomas Duncan at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is now confirmed to have been infected with Ebola.

The worker, whose name has not yet been released, “had been wearing protective gear during treatment of the patient” reports Reuters.

As Natural News has been reporting since day one, CDC protective gear recommendations are wholly inadequate to protect workers from Ebola, a level-4 biohazard virus with no known treatment or cure.

This infection is the second high-profile Ebola transmission among health care workers in first-world hospitals who were wearing CDC-recommended protective gear. The other case involved a nurse in Spain. What these two cases clearly indicate is that the protective gear being worn by these health workers is insufficient to protect them from Ebola. Many infectious disease experts, along with Natural News, have been recommending full face respirators at a minimum, with positive-pressure “space suits” being a better choice.

In the U.S. Army, virologists wear positive pressure “space suits” when interacting with level-4 biohazards such as Ebola and Marburg.

The following photo shows a typical level-4 biohazard “space suit.” Note the puffy, inflated look of the suit which comes from the positive pressure air source that keeps the suit at a higher pressure than the surrounding room:

CDC BLAMES THE VICTIM

The CDC, which has remained in a state of dangerous denial about Ebola transmission vectors from the very start, is now blaming the health care worker for the infection.

Without even conducting any investigation of the matter, CDC director Tom Frieden leaped to the conclusion that “a breach in protocol resulted in the second Ebola infection in the U.S.” according to KPTV.

But the press is also reporting that “she was in full protective gear while caring for Duncan.” So instead of admitting that the gear is inadequate for dealing with a level-4 biohazard, the CDC is blaming the victims and implying that they somehow made a mistake.

The CDC remains utterly unable to admit that Ebola requires a level-4 biohazard gear response, which includes full face respirators and positive pressure suits.

EBOLA IS CLEARLY NOT “UNDER CONTROL”

If it were under control, it wouldn’t be spreading, obviously. CDC director Tom Friedan even admitted more cases may soon be confirmed in Dallas, saying “Unfortunately it is possible in the coming days we will see additional cases of Ebola…”

Some in the media have also claimed that Ebola is “difficult to catch” and no one should be concerned about it. But if it’s difficult to catch, then how did a fully-trained health care worker wearing CDC-recommended protective gear catch it? If it’s difficult to catch, then how did thousands of West Africans catch it accidentally? And why are the number of Ebola infections currently doubling about every 3 – 4 weeks?

What’s clear from this latest news is that Ebola is very easy to catch. And even though the CDC told us that Ebola would never spread in the United States because we have the most advanced hospitals in the world, this outbreak of Ebola just happened under the roof of one of those “advanced” hospitals in Dallas.

Clearly, the Ebola virus doesn’t care how expensive your nation’s health care system is. It’s going to spread at every opportunity for the simple reason that it can

This outbreak of Ebola in Dallas also demonstrates that far from the claims of the CDC at the White House, the U.S. government does not have the Ebola outbreak “under control.”

Chemical used in Colgate Total toothpaste is linked to cancer

Colgate Total contains triclosan, which has been linked to cancer and growth malformations in animals
The toothpaste was approved by the FDA in 1997 - but the toxicology summary reveals the FDA used company-backed evidence to approve it

The documents were released earlier this year after a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit last year
A chemical that has been linked to cancer cell growth is being used by millions of Americans in toothpaste every day, it has emerged.

The company behind Colgate Total insists that triclosan, which it uses to stave off gum disease, is safe to use because the toothpaste was approved in 1997 by the Food and Drug Administration.

But the toxicology documents used by the FDA to approve the toothpaste were only released early this year after a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit last year - and reveal the agency relied upon company-backed science to reach its conclusion, Bloomberg News reported.

The 35-page report reveals the FDA had concerns that triclosan could increase the risk of cancer - but Colgate said the chemical was only problematic in large doses.

But evidence available at the time, as well as newer studies, show there are indeed concerns with the chemical - including premature births and underdeveloped bones in animals.

'The recently released pages, taken alongside new research on triclosan, raise questions about whether the agency did appropriate due diligence in approving Total 17 years ago,' scientists told Bloomberg.

In 2010, a student linked triclosan, which has commonly been used to reduce bacteria contamination, to reduced fertility in mice and a 2013 study linked it to lowered sperm production in rats.

And a study from 2003 found triclosan in the urine of 75 per cent of 2,517 Americans - including children - who were tested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Despite evidence - including pages in the report showing how tests found fetal bone malformations in mice and rats - Colgate deemed the results irrelevant because they were conducted on animals.

'We have created a system where we are testing these chemicals out on the human population,' scientist Thomas Zoeller told Bloomberg. 'I love the idea they are all safe. But when we have studies on animals that suggest otherwise, I think we're taking a huge risk.'

Still, Colgate said that the 35 pages do not prove the chemical is harmful to humans and said that its safety is proved by more than 80 clinical studies of 19,000 people.

'In the nearly 18 years that Colgate Total has been on the market in the U.S., there has been no signal of a safety issue from adverse-event reports,' spokesman Thomas DiPiazza told Bloomberg.

He added that, while the FDA had been worried about the chemical's carcinogenicity, a study in 1997 found it did not pose a cancer risk for humans.

Colgate said it has no plans to reformulate Total toothpaste.

The FDA said on its website that triclosan is 'not known' to be dangerous to humans - but the results found in animals has given them enough of a reason to run tests again.

Drug regulators are now reviewing the dangers of the chemical, but they will only re-visit the approval of Total if they find a great enough reason to.

In a sign of the concern over the chemical, Minnesota lawmakers banned the chemical in May. Avon and Johnson & Johnson have also announced plans to cut the chemical from its products.

In 2010, the European Union banned triclosan in materials that come into contact with food.

Natural hair loss remedy Garlic and Onion

A natural hair loss remedy can be done with herbs, massage or natural diet methods. People doing these remedies with hopes that no side effect would appear. Garlic and onion can be used as alternatives of herbal hair loss remedy. Garlic is not just good for our body, but also for our hair. Garlic extract can remove and destroy harmful toxins and stimulate blood circulation, important in the scalp for proper hair care and growth and prevent hair loss. Addition of garlic extract in shampoo helps to keep hair strong, preventing breakage and hair loss, while adding significant body and shine. For those with dry hair or itchy scalps, the garlic extract shampoos also provide relief from the irritating symptoms.

How can we use garlic for hair loss remedy?

An hour before bedtime, slice open a clove of garlic and rub it on the hair loss area. Wait for an hour then massage the scalp with olive oil. Put on a cap and go to bed. In the morning, shampoo your hair. Repeat this remedy for a few weeks, and hopefully hair will stop falling out and re-grow. Onion (Allium cepa) recognised with healing qualities include their antibacterial, cleansing, stimulating, and nourishing powers. Onions contain a number of important minerals and vitamins, such as vitamins C and B6, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and germanium. Onion also has a high sulfur content. Sulphur is a mineral present in every cell in our body, with its greatest concentration in hair, skin and nails. It has often been called the 'beauty mineral' and the 'healing mineral' because of its ability to promote circulation and decrease inflammation. These qualities also lend to the theory that adequate amounts of sulphur can jump-start hair growth in people with deficiencies. High amounts of sulphur in onions make them particularly effective in regenerating hair follicles and stimulating hair regrowth. In addition, naturally-concentrated sulphur compounds have been proven to show additional hair-restoring. Hair loss remedy with onion - apply freshly-squeezed, raw onion juice directly onto the scalp, massage deep into the scalp and hair roots. Left on the scalp for about half-an-hour before shampooing. Do these treatments everyday. In most cases, regular onion treatments will result in dramatic improvement of hair thickness within just several months. Since onion juice restores hair follicles and improves scalp circulation, it will help to promote the strong-hair growth

Health benefits of cabbage

The robust and abundant cabbage, which is closely related to other leafy green vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower, has a long history as both a food and medicine. For example, the Ancient Greeks would routinely prescribe cabbage or cabbage juice to treat constipation or mushroom poisoning, while the Ancient Egyptians consumed cabbage before meals to lower the intoxicating effects of wine. The British even brought cabbage to the trenches of World War I since its leaves helped to treat trench foot and bandage ulcers.

Cabbage's historical uses as a medicine is a testament to its dense concentrations of nutrients. In fact, cabbage shares a remarkably similar nutritional profile to broccoli, and is even proven to treat the same medical conditions.

Rich in disease-fighting compounds -- All cabbages, including white cabbages (which are the most commonly eaten cabbages in the United States), contain high concentrations of disease-fighting phytonutrients, such as polyphenols and glucosinolates. A study published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention in 2013 found that "cabbage heads could contribute as sources of important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory related to the prevention of chronic diseases associated to oxidative stress, such as in cancer and coronary artery disease." Of all the cabbages tested by the scientists, red cabbages contained the most antioxidants, while Chinese, Savoy and green cabbages contained the strongest anti-inflammatory properties. These results suggest that varying the types of cabbage we consume will maximize our phytochemical intake.

Antidiabetic benefits -- Research published in Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine in September 2008 found that diabetic rats that were fed red cabbage extracts for 60 days exhibited reduced blood glucose levels, restored renal function and improved weight loss when compared to the control group. The researchers ascribed these results to the cabbages' antioxidant and antihyperglycemic properties, which "offer a potential therapeutic source for the treatment of diabetes." However, cabbage is also a great source of fiber, which is known to prevent diabetes since it helps to slow the absorption of sugar.

Great source of vitamins C and K -- Half a cup of cooked green cabbage contains approximately 47 percent of the recommended daily intake (RDI) of vitamin C and 102 percent of the RDI of vitamin K. Vitamin C is, of course, an essential antioxidant that provides the immune system with its first line of defense against invading pathogens. It is also good for the skin and hair, and prevents accelerated aging. Vitamin K, on the other hand, aids blood clotting and maintains bone health.

All leafy green vegetables contain these two vitamins, although some contain more than others. Broccoli and Brussels sprouts contain the most vitamin C, while kale and spinach are the undisputed kings of vitamin K. Cabbage contains moderate amounts (i.e., maintenance doses) of both.

Weight loss properties -- Cabbage excels in all the areas expected of a weight loss food. It is low in calories and carbohydrates, contains no fat, is low on the glycemic index and is high in fiber. Moreover, cabbage is highly versatile and can be incorporated into stews, soups and countless cooked dishes.

Choosing the best cabbages

According to the World's Healthiest Foods website, sauteing cabbages helps to retain the most nutrients, although steaming and boiling them are also good choices. Regardless of how we choose to prepare cabbage, however, we must ensure that it is organic. Since cabbage heads are not protected by shells or skins, they are fully exposed to pesticides and herbicides. Moreover, cabbages are notoriously susceptible to mineral deficiencies stemming from poor soil quality. Consequently, organic farms -- which tend to contain the healthiest soil -- usually produce the tastiest and most nutritious cabbages.

AMAZING HEALTH BENEFITS OF CORN

1. Supports Digestion: Corn is high in both soluble fiber- helps in blocking cholesterol absorption by turning into a gel like consistency, and insoluble fiber-prevents constipation and intestinal problems by promoting soft and bulky stool, thus reducing the chances of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids as well as colon cancer.

2. Eye Care: Lutein and Zeaxanthin are the only carotenoids detectable in our eye lens, which protect the clear proteins in the lens from oxidation causing them to become cloudy (cataract), and in reducing the risk of macular degeneration i.e. impairment of vision at the center of your line of sight. Beta-carotene, in corn, helps in producing vitamin A, thus supporting better vision.

3. Prevents Atherosclerosis: The carotenoid, Lutein, a potent antioxidant in corn, helps prevent hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) that can lead to heart attack and stroke.

4. For Stronger Bones: Corn contains beta-cryptoxanthin, a natural carotenoid pigment, which slows age related bone loss, reducing the risk of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis as well as various forms of cancer.

5. Prevents Anemia: Vitamin B12, folic acid and iron deficiency are known causes for Anemia. Corn contains a significant amount of all these vital nutrients.

6. For Instant Energy: Corn is a complex carb, so it gets digested at a slow pace, providing balanced energy levels. Pantothenic acid, an energy enhancing B vitamin, is used by the mitochondria to transform more complex carbs into glucose, a form of usable energy. Beta-carotene, which increases supplies of hemoglobin, a protein that delivers oxygen to cells, preventing fatigue.

7. Lowers LDL Cholesterol: Vitamin C, carotenoids, and bioflavonoids, control cholesterol levels and increase blood flow. Corn oil has anti-atherogenic effect on cholesterol levels by reducing cholesterol absorption by the body, thus preventing atherosclerosis and scavenging free radicals throughout the body.

8. Prevents Diabetes and Hypertension: Phytochemicals regulate and manage non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM). Pantothenic acid, a B Vitamin, helps in carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism, preventing stress by supporting the functioning of adrenal glands.

9. Strengthens Connective Tissue: Manganese strengthens the connective tissues (bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and cartilage.) by keeping blood sugar levels stable, and breaking down carbs and fat to provide energy. Other abundant minerals like magnesium, iron, copper and phosphorus also assist in development of healthy bones.

10. Anti-Cancer: Also ferulic acid, a phenolic compound found in corn is effective against liver and breast tumors. Fiberaids alleviate digestive problems such as constipation and hemorrhoids, as well as lower the risk of colon cancer. Beta-cryptoxanthin, an orange-red carotenoid, has antioxidant properties that are linked to significantly lowering the risk of lung cancer.

11. For Pregnancy: Deficiency of folic acid in pregnant women can cause miscarriages and also cause neural tube defects at birth. Corn is a rich source of Folic acid.

12. Beneficial for Heart: Corn oil has an anti-atherogenic effect on cholesterol and an optimal fatty acid combination, enabling omega-3 fatty acids to remove the damaging bad cholesterol and replace them at the bonding sites. This prevents clogging of arteries, reduced blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke. Corn grain is high in folate, a type of B-vitamin that is known to reduce homocysteine, an inflammatory marker attributed to heart diseases.

13. Prevents Alzheimer’s disease: Thiamine, also called the brain nutrient, helps synthesize acetylocholine, a neurotransmitter that helps strengthen the memory, delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease and development of age related senility.

14. Youthful Skin and Hair: Corn starch can be used to soothe skin irritation and rashes and is a rich source of beta-carotene, which forms vitamin A, vital for healthy hair and skin. Vitamin C and lycopene are potential antioxidants, providing UV protection and increased collagen production, critical to maintain elasticity and suppleness in the skin, and for lustrous hair.

15. For Weight loss: Nutrients in corn stimulates the thyroid gland, to produce more triiodothyronine(T3) hormone, that spikes the body’s fat burning metabolic rate. Insoluble fiber also lowers binge eating by increasing a sense of fullness and satiety.

16. Rich source of vitamins: Corn is rich in vitamin B constituents, especially Thiamin and Niacin. Thiamin is essential for maintaining nerve health and cognitive function. Niacin deficiency leads to Pellagra (symptoms of diarrhea, dementia and dermatitis). Pantothenic acid, which is an essential vitamin for carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolism in the body. Folic acid for fetal neural development and vitamin E, an essential growth natural antioxidant.

17. Minerals Store: Corn contains abundant minerals phosphorous, along with magnesium, manganese, zinc, iron and copper are found in all varieties of corn. It also contains trace minerals like selenium. Phosphorous is essential for regulating normal growth, bone health and optimal kidney functioning. Magnesium is necessary for maintaining a normal heart rate and for increasing bone strength.

Hidden Benefits of Coffee

If you find that you are needing to drink coffee just to get through the day, or you can’t begin to function without a cup, then you might be lacking sleep or something in your diet.  As much as I love the stuff, I wouldn’t mistake coffee for being a healthy food!

However coffee has joined the ranks of unlikely foods with health benefits (like wine and dark chocolate).  A growing body of research shows that coffee drinkers, compared to nondrinkers, are:

less likely to have type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia
have fewer cases of certain cancers, heart rhythm problems, and strokes
“There is certainly much more good news than bad news, in terms of coffee and health,” says Frank Hu, MD, MPH, PhD, nutrition and epidemiology professor at the Harvard School of Public Health.

However please be aware that it isn’t proven that drinking coffee will prevent these health conditions!  Drinking coffee excessively will increase levels cortisol (of the stress hormone) and probably cause a dependence on caffeine,  Here are 10 ways coffee may benefit you, however you should cut out or at the very least, limit the sugar and milk!

1. Gallstone Prevention
Harvard researchers in 2002 found that women who drank at least four cups of coffee a day were at a 25 percent lower risk of gallstones. An earlier study found similar results for men.

2. Depression Prevention
Women who drank two to three cups of daily coffee were 15 percent less likely to develop depression, and those drinking four cups were 20 percent less likely, according to a 2011 report in the “Archives of Internal Medicine.”

3. Memory Improvement
Coffee can help with both long- and short-term memory. In a 2005 study presented at the Radiological Society of North America, researchers found that consuming two cups of caffeinated coffee improved short-term memory and reaction times.

Interestingly, a 2007 study found that women — but not men — who were 65 or older who drank more than three cups of coffee each day performed better on memory tests and were less likely to show memory decline than those who drank just one cup a day.

Although researchers have known for some time that coffee can decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, researchers at the University of South Florida in 2011 found that a distinctive interaction between caffeine and coffee might be why. They recommend drinking four to five cups daily, starting in middle age, to increase GCSF, granulocyte colony stimulating factor, which is decreased in Alzheimer’s patients and improves memory in mice.

4. Less Risk for Diabetes
Studies suggest that coffee drinkers are less likely to develop Type 2 diabetes, with those putting away four or more cups daily 50 percent less likely. A January 2012 report in the ‘Journal of Agricultural & Food Chemistry” might explain why. It attributes the effect to compounds in coffee that block hIAPP, a polypeptide that can result in abnormal protein fibers, which are found in people with Type 2.

5. Decreases Cancer Risk
Coffee consumption has been associated with decreased risk of breast, endometrial, prostate and liver cancers, and those linked with obesity, estrogen and insulin. A 2008 Swedish study found that drinking at least two to three cups a day reduced the risk or delayed the onset of breast cancer.

A 2011 study in “Breast Cancer Research” found that drinking five or more cups could translate into a 20 percent less chance of developing estrogen-receptor-negative breast cancer. And, citing research on coffee’s effect on diabetes, researches also found that drinking more than four cups a day was linked with a 25 percent reduced risk for endometrial cancer.

But it’s not just the women who luck out. A recent study out of the Harvard School of Public Health found that both regular and decaf coffee resulted in reduced risk of prostate cancer.

6. Metabolism Boost
Coffee might help you maintain — or even lose — weight. A study as far back as 1980 found that the caffeine found in coffee stimulates the metabolism, but that only “normal,” rather than obese, subjects experienced greater oxidation of fat.

When you think of coffee, you usually think of the beverage. However, if your focus is weight loss, green coffee extract could be an effective aid. Following a 6 month study of 16 overweight adults, researchers discovered that participants given green coffee bean extract had undergone significant weight loss with 37.5% of them transitioning from being at a pre-obesity weight to a normal weight range. If you’re battling the bulge, consider complementing your workouts by looking at the green bean capsule aisle of your local health nutrition store.

7. Lower Risk for Parkinson’s Disease
The “Journal of the American Medical Association” in 2000 found that the caffeine intake associated with coffee translated into a lower risk of developing Parkinson’s. A 2010 study found that drinking two to three cups of coffee daily can mean up to a 25 percent less chance of developing the disease.

8. Antioxidative Properties
Harvard researcher Edward Giovannucci, in research published in “Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention,” noted that coffee has more antioxidants than most vegetables and fruits. In fact, a 2005 study found that coffee is the No. 1 source for antioxidants in the American diet. That’s a reflection of the volume of coffee consumed in this country, and how much is making it into the bloodstream is unclear.

9. Performance-Enhancing Benefits
Coffee — and the caffeine in it — has been shown in multiple studies to increase both endurance and short-term performance. A 2008 study concluded that the benefit of caffeine before exercise occurs during endurance events, stop-and-go events and long-term high-intensity activity. It also can help athletes perform better during strength training — even when sleep-deprived — if taken one hour before exercise at the rate of 4 mg for every kg of body weight.

10. Gout Prevention
A 2007 study of men older than 40 linked long-term coffee consumption with a lower risk of gout, an inflammatory condition caused by elevated levels of uric acid. Decaf and regular both had an effect, and those drinking six cups a day experienced as much as a 60 percent lower risk of gout.
